Vehicle Description Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 22nd year in the classic and muscle car business.
When Pontiac decided to put the 389 V8 from their full-size cars into the mid-size LeMans for 1964, they unleashed the opening salvo of what became known as the 'horsepower wars'.
Hoping to sell 5000 units, Pontiac executives were stunned to discover that they had sold 32,450 units by year's end and inadvertently started the muscle car era.
This spawned many desirable automobiles, but the GTO's are fondly remembered as some of the best-looking street warriors ever produced.
This handsome Burgundy (N) 1967 GTO Convertible is a good case in point.
Beneath the iconic hood rests a numbers matching (BCN 9786133, CD 5/3/67, EC YS) 400 ci legend in its first year of production.
Additional features include power steering, power front disc brakes, power windows, power top, factory air conditioning, TH400 automatic transmission with correct Hurst Dual Gate shifter, console, correct black interior (223), and restored PMD Rally II wheels with new beauty rings.
This is a solid and mostly original car that is believed to retain about 85% of its original paint.
The comfort and convenience options on this jewel greatly increase its desirability, as very few muscle cars came with amenities such as air conditioning and power windows.
And now that summer is here, a quick test drive with the top down can demonstrate the second best way to tangle your hair! Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
